Aba Wathdde! The Paul First Nation’s Stoney Language Reclamation is an ongoing project to properly document and digitize the Stoney Language. It’s an extensive project that provides both translations from lithga (stoney) to English and vic versa.
We have been approached to provide this project with more technical support both in the front and backend. On the first phase of this project, we built a better import system that ensures that all the language material, including audio files, are being imported into the dictionary. We also reworked the frontend design to make it more user friendly and accessible.
In the second phase, we are building a more relevant search mechanism that is elastic and ensure quicker results and parsing of dictionary items. This is in combination with reworking the frontend design and additional import customizations.
